Job Overview

The Creative Multimedia Designer (Video & Digital Specialist) is a senior specialist role within Flight Centre Travel Group’s Global Creative Services team. The position focuses heavily on video production, motion design, and multimedia storytelling, supporting global corporate travel brands across international markets. Although based in South Africa, the role works closely with a globally connected creative and marketing network, delivering high-impact, on-brand creative solutions at scale.


Key Responsibilities

Video & Motion Design

  • Produce high-quality video content from concept development and storyboarding through to final editing

  • Create 2D animations and motion graphics for campaigns, social media, events, explainers, and brand communications

  • Edit a wide range of formats including short-form social videos, long-form interviews, executive messaging, testimonials, and event footage

  • Develop scalable video templates and motion systems for global brand use

  • Leverage modern creative tools, including GenAI-assisted workflows, to improve efficiency and creative output

Digital & Multimedia Design

  • Design digital and multimedia assets for campaigns, social platforms, email, events, presentations, reports, and infographics

  • Ensure all digital outputs meet platform best practices, accessibility standards, and performance requirements

  • Explore innovative digital formats and AI-supported tools to enhance speed-to-market and creative impact

Creative Delivery & Collaboration

  • Interpret briefs for regional and global initiatives, delivering visually strong and on-brand creative solutions

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, accuracy, and deadlines

  • Maintain organised file structures, asset libraries, and reusable templates to support global scalability

  • Stay informed on creative trends, emerging technologies, and motion design techniques to continuously elevate output


Qualifications

Education

  • Tertiary qualification in Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, or a related field

Experience

  • 8+ years’ experience in video, motion, and multimedia design

  • Experience within brand, corporate, or agency environments preferred

  • Proven experience delivering creative work at a regional or global level

Skills

  • Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro

  • Strong working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

  • Exposure to AI-assisted creative tools is advantageous

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating video, motion graphics, animation, and digital-first design

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • High attention to detail with strong organisational and independent working ability
