🚀 Key Responsibilities
🔍 Credit Risk Evaluation:

Assess the creditworthiness of commercial clients using financial statements, market intelligence, and industry data.

Prepare detailed credit reports and present findings to credit committees.

Analyze risk factors and ensure proposals align with ABSA’s risk appetite and policies.
💼 Portfolio Management:

Monitor existing credit exposures and recommend action plans for high-risk accounts.

Support relationship managers with client engagement and early warning signals.

Ensure accurate and up-to-date credit records and compliance documentation.
🧠 Strategic Input:

Participate in structuring of complex lending transactions.

Contribute to improvements in credit assessment models and frameworks.

Collaborate with product, legal, and operations teams to ensure seamless deal execution.
✅ Requirements
🎓 Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

A postgraduate qualification or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CIMA, CA(SA)) is advantageous.
💼 Experience:

Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in credit risk analysis or commercial banking.

Strong understanding of financial statements and business models across industries.
