Job Overview

Capitec Bank is looking for an experienced and analytical Credit Intelligence Analyst I to optimise credit intelligence performance and minimise credit risk. The role involves advanced quantitative analysis, statistical modelling, and delivering actionable insights to support sound business and credit decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently conduct complex quantitative data analysis

• Deliver analytical insights to inform business and credit decision-making

• Optimise credit intelligence performance and reduce credit risk exposure

• Propose and execute solutions based on analytical outputs

• Develop and enhance statistical models with senior team members

• Support credit strategies through reporting, diagnostics, and visualisation

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Statistics (minimum)

• Relevant postgraduate qualification in Finance or Statistics (advantageous)

Experience

• 2–4 years’ experience in retail credit analysis, including SQL programming, statistical modelling, diagnostic analytics, and data visualisation

• 1–3 years’ experience with an Honours degree

• Portfolio-specific or Capitec Bank experience is an advantage

Skills

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills

• SQL programming and data analysis

• Communication and presentation skills

• Reporting and data visualisation

• Ability to translate data insights into business solutions
