Role Overview

As a Creditors Clerk at RCL Foods, you will be responsible for managing payments to suppliers, capturing bank statements, reviewing intergroup purchases, and daily bank reconciliations. You will work closely with various teams to ensure that all creditor transactions are accurate, compliant with legislation, and processed in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Review daily RNV (Reconciliation of Non-Value) accounts to ensure accuracy.

• Monitor and reconcile intercompany balancing accounts, addressing any capture errors.

• Close prepayments using JDE ERP system.

• Capture and reconcile weekly diesel fill transactions.

• Enable and process payments by capturing and matching supplier invoices for stock purchases.

• Verify invoice compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.

• Manage stand-alone invoices and ensure proper documentation.

• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.

• Prepare monthly and weekly payment runs with all necessary approvals.

• Identify optimum payment dates to maintain good supplier relationships.

• Raise month-end accruals for expenses not captured via invoices.

• Prepare monthly supplier reconciliations and age analysis reports.

• Support month-end and mid-month payment runs with detailed reconciliations.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (NQF Level 4) with Accountancy; tertiary qualifications in accounting are advantageous.

• At least 1 year of experience in a creditors department.

• Proficient in MS Excel for data capturing and reconciliation.

• Experience with JDE ERP system or similar accounting software is highly beneficial.

• Ability to work overtime when required.

• Strong attention to detail, efficiency, and a proactive mindset.
