Job Purpose ๐ŸŽฏ

The Customer Liaison Global Grade 10 will be a key player in customer satisfaction, managing customer relationships, and improving the customer experience at the parts counter. This role involves proactively identifying customer needs, managing orders, and resolving issues to ensure a seamless experience. You will also play a significant role in managing backorders and liaising with various teams to ensure timely parts delivery.

As a Customer Liaison, your primary focus will be to maintain high service standards, ensure customers receive accurate information about products, and manage the order fulfillment process effectively. Youโ€™ll be responsible for driving sales targets, improving customer satisfaction, and maintaining seamless communication with parts sales personnel, ensuring service level agreements are met.


Key Responsibilities ๐Ÿ“‹

  • Customer Feedback Management: Collect and analyze customer feedback at the parts sales counter, ensuring that customer concerns are addressed and corrective actions are implemented.
  • Order Management: Proactively expedite and manage outstanding orders, ensuring order accuracy, and assisting with any grieved workflows.
  • Client Relationship Building: Maintain and grow your client portfolio by making proactive contact, identifying new sales opportunities, and increasing cross-sell opportunities.
  • Parts Knowledge & Sales: Ensure you maintain expert knowledge of product offerings, pricing, and application procedures to meet sales targets and customer needs.
  • Parts Counter Supervision: Supervise parts counter personnel, ensuring high-quality customer service and adherence to service level agreements.
  • Order Expediting & Reporting: Manage open order reports, track backorders, and improve parts delivery processes to reduce lead time and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any customer issues or inquiries efficiently, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Digital Strategy Education: Educate customers on the companyโ€™s digital strategy, including tools like parts.cat.com for an improved buying experience.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze trends such as backorders, lead times, and canceled orders. Provide monthly reports to support decision-making and process improvement.

Qualifications & Experience ๐ŸŽ“

  • Educational Requirements:

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • Relevant tertiary qualification (preferably in Business, Logistics, or related field).
  • Experience:

    • At least 2 years of customer care experience.
    • 2 years of parts experience in a similar industry or role.
    • Proficiency in SAP and familiarity with parts processes.
  • Skills:

    • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with a customer-focused approach.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
    • Sales orientation and ability to drive results.
    • Proficient in data analysis for business decision-making.
