Key Responsibilities:
✅ Customer Support & Debt Management
- Handle inbound calls from customers regarding their Southern Water debt issues, including payment inquiries and discussions about payment plans.
- Offer solutions such as manageable payment plans, short-term discounts, or assistance with applying for social tariffs.
- Address customer concerns with empathy and professionalism, especially when dealing with those in severe financial hardship.
✅ Financial Assistance & Payment Handling
- Guide customers through their available payment options, helping them find solutions that fit their financial circumstances.
- Set up and manage payment arrangements to ensure that customers are able to pay their bills in a way that is sustainable for them.
- Process customer payments efficiently and accurately, ensuring a smooth transaction experience.
✅ Customer Education & Advice
- Educate customers on their financial options and help them understand their bill, payment plans, and any available support programs.
- Provide tailored advice on how to manage their payments and reduce their debt in the long term.
✅ Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, payment arrangements, and any agreements made.
- Ensure all communication is logged in accordance with company policies and procedures.
✅ Team Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with the Customer Service team to resolve escalated issues and provide excellent customer service.
- Participate in regular team meetings to share insights and improve the overall customer service experience.
Minimum Requirements:
✔ Qualifications
- A high school diploma is required; additional qualifications in customer service, finance, or related fields will be an advantage.
✔ Experience
- While no prior experience is required, any experience in customer service, debt management, or financial advisory roles would be beneficial.
