Role Overview
As a Customer Service Consultant at TIH, your main responsibility will be to assist customers with their claims and administer policy changes effectively, ensuring that customer needs are addressed promptly and accurately. You will play a key role in providing high-quality service, conducting essential administrative functions, and promoting relevant products and services to meet customer needs.


Key Responsibilities
πŸ”Ή Customer Management – Manage both external and internal customers, ensuring that requests are resolved on the first call and executed according to company standards.
πŸ”Ή Customer Needs & Analysis – Ask probing questions to gather relevant information to resolve customer requests.
πŸ”Ή Up-sell Customer Propositions – Identify the most suitable products and services based on customer needs, explaining options and encouraging purchases.
πŸ”Ή Correspondence Handling – Respond to routine customer requests via telephone or email, using pre-designed templates to create customized responses.
πŸ”Ή Operational Compliance – Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards to ensure your work meets the required quality standards.
πŸ”Ή Administration – Update policy information such as changes to addresses, policyholder details, and banking details, ensuring customer requests are handled within policy guidelines.
πŸ”Ή Personal Capability Building – Continuously develop your skills through training and education, staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.


What You Bring to the Role
βœ”οΈ Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential) – A minimum of Grade 12 or a South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) accredited equivalent.
βœ”οΈ 1 – 3 Years of Work Experience (Essential) – Prior experience in customer service or a related field is required.
βœ”οΈ Excellent Communication Skills – The ability to handle customer inquiries via phone and email, delivering solutions with professionalism and efficiency.
βœ”οΈ Strong Problem-Solving Abilities – Quick thinking to resolve issues and address customer concerns.
βœ”οΈ Organizational and Administrative Skills – Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
βœ”οΈ Flexibility for Night Shifts – Willingness to work night shifts as required for the role.
