Compensation Breakdown:

  • Base Salary: R18,000 per month

  • Night Shift Allowance: R3,000 per month

  • Travel Allowance: R1,000 per month

Job Overview

The Customer Support Representative is responsible for delivering high-quality support to CoinFlip’s ATM and application users across multiple channels, including phone, chat, email, and SMS. The role focuses on resolving customer queries, providing basic cryptocurrency education, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring adherence to compliance and performance standards.

This role is ideal for individuals who are patient, curious, solution-oriented, and comfortable educating customers in a fast-evolving fintech and cryptocurrency environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support ATM customers via phone, chat, email, and SMS

  • Respond to functional questions regarding ATM usage and the CoinFlip app

  • Provide basic cryptocurrency and product education to customers

  • Troubleshoot ATM-related issues and identify recurring customer or equipment trends

  • Report technical issues and trends accurately to relevant teams

  • Adhere to all performance metrics, quality standards, and compliance requirements

  • Maintain clear, professional, and empathetic communication with customers

  • Document customer interactions and resolutions accurately

  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues efficiently

  • Perform additional duties as required to support operations


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Business fluency in English and Spanish

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including night shifts


Education

  • National Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification

  • Additional training in customer service, IT support, fintech, or financial services is advantageous


Experience and Skills

Experience

  • Previous experience in a customer support or contact centre environment (advantageous)

  • Experience working in a compliance-heavy environment (preferred)

Technical Skills

  • Competent computer literacy

  • Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute

  • Troubleshooting experience

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications

  • Technical acumen across iOS, Android, and mobile platforms

Core Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to multitask across calls, chats, emails, and SMS

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking

  • Patient, customer-focused, and solution-oriented approach

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Bonus Skills

  • Basic knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology

  • 1–2 years of contact centre experience

  • CRM experience (Salesforce, Zendesk, HubSpot, or similar)

  • Familiarity with cloud-based call centre software (Five9, NICE, InContact, Softphone, etc.)
