What You’ll Do in This Role

As a Customs Co-ordinator, you will be integral to ensuring that Ford’s import and export processes run smoothly and align with Customs regulations. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, your day-to-day will include both operational and compliance-driven tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture customs entry data for drawbacks using Ford’s tailored customs and incentives systems

  • Review and validate shipping files and customs entries for compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Facilitate smooth import/export of production parts, aftermarket parts, machinery, and vehicles

  • Support the Customs Manager in addressing trade-related queries from supply chain and logistics teams

  • Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and relevant authorities

  • Assist with customs registration applications and updates

  • Apply for necessary import/export permits and maintain documentation

  • Create reports using spreadsheets and word processing software

  • Implement and enhance customs compliance operations and procedures


What You’ll Need to Succeed

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 2–3 years of experience in customs, international trade, or logistics operations (preferably in the automotive sector)

  • Diploma or degree in International Trade, Logistics, or a related field

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong communication skills (fluent in English – written and spoken)

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel and Word)

  • Solid understanding of import/export procedures and documentation (e.g., commercial invoices, SAD500s, packing lists)

  • Basic understanding of HTS codes, valuation, FTA eligibility, and country of origin

  • Experience with bonded customs warehouse compliance is a plus

  • Ability to interpret and apply trade compliance policies independently
