🛡️ About the Role

The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) is seeking two dynamic, experienced Senior Team Leads to head up strategic roles within the Cyber Security Operations unit, focused on:

• Endpoint Security

• Identity Governance and Administration (IGA)

As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and monitoring of cybersecurity operations within your assigned domain, helping safeguard national financial infrastructure and digital assets.

🔐 Key Responsibilities

• Lead cyber operations in Endpoint Security / IGA domains.

• Develop strategies to mitigate cyber threats and enhance defense mechanisms.

• Supervise a team of specialists and analysts to ensure round-the-clock security monitoring and response.

• Coordinate incident detection, analysis, containment, and recovery.

• Implement industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

• Oversee security tools, policies, and procedures.

• Collaborate with enterprise IT, risk, compliance, and external regulators.

📚 Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.

• 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including 3+ in a leadership capacity.

• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).

• Hands-on experience with endpoint protection platforms, EDR/XDR, and IGA systems (e.g., SailPoint, Okta).

• Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management, access controls, and role-based access strategies.

• Experience managing SOC teams and implementing security incident and event management (SIEM) tools.

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar are highly advantageous.
