As a Data Center Technician (DCT), you’ll be hands-on with Microsoft’s global infrastructure. This role involves setting up hardware, performing diagnostics, upgrading systems, and decommissioning outdated equipment—all in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy and maintain server hardware and components across the data center.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware issues using standard operating procedures.

  • Perform hardware decommissions for refreshes, upgrades, and repairs.

  • Conduct quality checks for cabling, grounding, labeling, and network setups.

  • Assist in incident reporting and escalate issues when necessary.

  • Collaborate with team members and provide guidance to junior technicians.

  • Participate in on-the-job training to stay current with evolving technologies.

🎓 Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware and components.

  • At least 1 year of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.


✅ Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience in IT support or hardware maintenance.

  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Server+, Network+, or Basic Structured Cabling (BSC).

  • Understanding of cloud environments, AWS, or SaaS technologies.

  • Familiarity with tools like SQL, Postgres, Microsoft Power BI, or Qlikview is advantageous.
