Job Overview
The Data Science Graduate Development Programme is a one-year programme designed for postgraduate graduates who want to develop advanced analytics and data science capabilities in central banking.
Participants will work in various departments at the SARB and gain hands-on experience applying data science techniques, analytics, and machine learning to solve real financial and economic challenges.
Graduates will also participate in specialised training at the SARB Academy and will occasionally work in a Data Lab environment to develop solutions for real-world data use cases.
Key Responsibilities

Apply data science and advanced analytics techniques to financial and economic datasets

Conduct data analysis using structured and unstructured data sources

Assist in developing predictive models and analytical tools

Support research and data-driven decision-making within SARB departments

Participate in projects within the Data Lab environment

Attend technical and professional development training at the SARB Academy

Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations based on analytical findings
Qualifications
Education
Applicants must have a postgraduate qualification (NQF Level 8) or be in the process of completing one in the following fields:

Academic Requirement
