🎓 Minimum Qualifications & Experience

To be considered for this role, you’ll need one of the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Analytics + 4+ years of relevant work experience

• Honours Degree in any of the above disciplines + 3+ years relevant work experience

• Master’s Degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, or Computer Science (preferred)

Technical Proficiency:

• Advanced statistical and machine learning modeling

• Data wrangling, aggregation, and analysis using SQL, Python, SAS, or R

• ML model deployment and performance monitoring

• Building scalable solutions using cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)

• Working with version control tools (e.g., Git)

• Dockerization and model containerization

Analytical Expertise:

• Ability to frame data analysis to align with business objectives

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements like POPIA, NCR, SARB

• Strong business acumen in areas like credit risk, lending, or financial product development

• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Looker, Tableau)
