Job Overview

The Delivery Lead: Technology (Salesforce) role is a senior technical leadership position responsible for guiding Salesforce delivery teams across the full product lifecycle. This includes solution design, development, deployment, and ongoing platform support.

The successful candidate will define and enforce SDLC standards, lead the technical roadmap for Salesforce delivery, and ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with business objectives. This role requires strong people leadership, deep Salesforce expertise, and experience in enterprise integrations within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and guide Salesforce delivery teams across multiple feature teams
Define, implement, and enforce SDLC and DevOps standards
Oversee technical design, architecture, and solution delivery
Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and security
Design and implement scalable Salesforce solutions for core business operations
Lead integration design using APIs and middleware platforms
Drive innovation, delivery efficiency, and continuous improvement
Develop and mentor technical team members
Ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions
Support ongoing platform stability, performance, and enhancements

Requirements

Education

Grade 12 National Certificate or Vocational qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Programming (preferred)

Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading technical development teams
Proven experience conducting code reviews and managing technical quality
Experience designing enterprise data models aligned to business needs
Strong background in API development (REST, SOAP, GraphQL)
Hands-on experience with Salesforce development technologies
Experience with integration tools such as MuleSoft, Informatica, or custom APIs
Solid understanding of DevOps practices and SDLC frameworks

Technical Skills

Salesforce Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Components
HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Data modelling and data security best practices
API and middleware integration design
Technical documentation and solution design
