🔎 About the Role: Demand Planner SADC

As the Demand Planner SADC, you become a key strategic driver of Reckitt’s supply chain performance. You will ensure accurate forecasting, manage inventory alignment, and integrate commercial insights to secure high service levels across the SADC region.

Your expertise will support production planning, supplier coordination, and financial forecasting — ensuring customers receive the right products at the right time.

🧠 Key Responsibilities

📊 Demand Forecasting & Planning

  • Maintain accurate SKU-level demand forecasts for production and procurement.

  • Integrate sales data, promotional activity, seasonality, and trends into planning.

  • Provide forward revenue forecasts via the S&OP process.

📦 Supply & Market Reconciliation

  • Conduct monthly reviews of Stock on Hand (SOH), In-Market Sales (IMS), and shipments.

  • Generate IMS and shipment forecasts based on historical and promotional trends.

  • Communicate buyer, supply, and source point requirements.

🤝 Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead IBP sessions with commercial teams and country managers.

  • Challenge forecast variances using MAPE, BIAS, and trend analysis.

  • Share forecast outcomes with Finance for quarterly planning.

📈 Inventory & Production Alignment

  • Plan replenishment cycles to maintain optimal service levels.

  • Work with source points to ensure accurate production alignment.

  • Identify risks, opportunities, and supply constraints early.

📑 Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Produce monthly demand accuracy reports and IBP gaps.

  • Drive improvements, challenge assumptions, and influence strategic decisions.

  • Minimise waste linked to relaunches and promotions.

🎓 Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, or similar field.

  • Proficient in Rapid Response, SAP Turbo, and advanced Excel.

  • Strong background in Demand/Supply Planning, Logistics, Inventory, or S&OP.

  • Highly analytical with sound decision-making capabilities.

  • Experience in FMCG environments (advantageous).

  • Team leadership and process improvement mindset.
