🛠 Role Overview: Depot Manager (TSSSA) Kimberley

As Depot Manager, you will lead the on-site operations and ensure that Alstom’s transportation systems meet high standards in safety, reliability, and performance. This role blends technical expertise, people management, and strategic execution to maintain seamless depot functions.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Enforce EHS & security standards and ensure full compliance at the depot.

• Lead and coordinate customer site teams, ensuring availability of skills and managing workload.

• Ensure contractual fleet availability and lead defect/failure management processes.

• Manage material availability in coordination with the supply chain.

• Oversee modification implementation, quality control, and execution of PI scope of activities.

• Build strong customer relationships and represent Alstom with professionalism.

• Ensure proper SAP (GSI & SES) configuration updates.

• Monitor operational cost, quality, and safety metrics.

• Lead, coach, and develop staff in accordance with Alstom’s people processes.

🎓 Minimum Requirements

• BEng / BSc / BTech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).

• 8+ years technical experience in mechanical, electrical, or electronics domains.

• Minimum 2 years experience managing teams.

• Railway environment experience is essential.

• SAP (GSI/SES) knowledge and Traxx 23E experience are advantageous.

• Strong leadership, risk management, communication, and analytical skills.
