As a Design Team Lead, you will step into a pivotal creative leadership role. This position merges hands-on design excellence with people leadership, giving you ownership of both visual execution and team development.
You will craft high-impact creative assets, guide designers through thoughtful mentorship, uphold quality across all deliverables, and collaborate closely with the Creative Manager to maintain an energetic, productive, and innovative creative environment.
This role is ideal for a senior designer with strong leadership instincts, exceptional aesthetic judgment, and a passion for building high-performing creative teams.
Key Responsibilities

Create compelling digital and marketing assets that elevate brand identity and campaign performance.

Mentor designers through constructive, supportive, and skill-building feedback.

Maintain and update creative templates, ensuring teams work efficiently with current design systems.

Ensure visibility of workloads, deadlines, and quality standards across the creative division.

Conduct competitor analysis to inspire fresh and differentiating creative concepts.

Lead impactful one-on-one sessions that promote career development and individual growth.

Support appraisals, leave administration, and internal communications with clarity and structure.

Partner with the Creative Manager to elevate creative direction, team culture, and operational smoothness.
Qualifications & Experience
-
4–6 years of professional design experience in an agency or in-house creative environment.
-
Strong digital design portfolio showcasing campaign work, visual identity, and multi-channel execution.

Experience with digital and print design; motion and multimedia experience is advantageous.

Proven ability to produce high-quality creative under shifting priorities and timelines.

Prior experience mentoring, guiding, or providing creative feedback to peers or junior talent.

High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro.

Added advantage: HTML skills, 3D knowledge, retouching, or animation.

Comfortable working with structured workflow systems such as Airtable, Monday.com, OMG, or Basecamp.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially around creative discussions, critique, and stakeholder engagement.

Interest in the gaming or entertainment industry, with curiosity about consumer behaviour and campaign effectiveness.

Tertiary qualification in Design, Visual Communication, or a related field preferred.
