As a Desktop & Vulnerability Lifecycle Management (VLM) Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining high levels of customer care, ensuring system stability and vulnerability management across client desktop estates. Key Responsibilities:

Customer Support & Incident Management

  • Own and manage customer requests, ensuring SLA compliance and outstanding service delivery.

  • Troubleshoot incidents onsite or remotely, and escalate where necessary.

  • Maintain regular communication with customers on progress and resolutions.

Desktop & VLM Operations

  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and proactively remediate issues using VLM tools.

  • Perform desktop/laptop application deployments and updates.

  • Implement and maintain endpoint security protocols.

  • Ensure knowledge articles and troubleshooting guides are current and accessible.

Delivery & Technical Services

  • Provide advanced diagnostics and support for desktops and laptops.

  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical issues.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of fixes and configurations.

  • Support internal and client-side IT projects and administrative tasks.

Security & Compliance

  • Conduct vulnerability scans and resolve security incidents.

  • Assist in designing and automating security and compliance controls.

  • Research emerging threats and recommend appropriate risk mitigations.


Requirements:

Technical & Experience

  • Proven experience in desktop support, IT infrastructure, and endpoint vulnerability management.

  • Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems and application deployment.

  • Familiarity with security tools and endpoint protection technologies.

  • Experience working in a multi-client or managed services environment is advantageous.

Soft Skills

  • Customer-centric with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proactive, solutions-driven attitude with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team structure.

  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
