About the Role

Raven Digital Media is hiring a Digital Marketing Assistant to support paid advertising campaigns across Google Ads and Meta Ads. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on exposure to paid ads who enjoys the creative, organisational, and execution side of digital marketing.

You will help build the assets that go into campaigns — including ad copy, messaging frameworks, and creative variations — while the Lead Marketer handles final setup, optimisation, and account management.

Durban-based candidates are preferred, however remote candidates will be considered if experience is strong.


Key Responsibilities

  • Write clear, persuasive ad copy for Google Ads and Meta Ads

  • Create multiple ad variations to test hooks, angles, and messaging

  • Assist with planning campaign messaging and creative direction

  • Prepare campaign assets, briefs, and documentation

  • Support reporting preparation and general marketing administration

  • Collaborate closely to refine ads and improve performance

  • Ensure accuracy, organisation, and consistency across campaign assets


Minimum Requirements

  • Some hands-on experience with Google Ads and Meta Ads

  • Strong written English and copywriting ability

  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

  • Comfortable working in Google Docs and Google Sheets

  • Reliable, proactive, and willing to learn

  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines


Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with lead generation or local service businesses

  • Understanding of funnels, user intent, and conversions

  • Interest in marketing psychology and persuasion

  • Basic familiarity with campaign performance metrics


Location Preference

📍 Durban-based candidates preferred
🌍 Remote candidates considered if experience is strong
