🧠 Role Overview

As Direct Marketing Specialist, you will spearhead Lula’s direct marketing efforts across a variety of digital channels including email, SMS, and WhatsApp. Reporting to the CRM Lead, your work will directly impact Lula’s customer acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies. You will be at the intersection of data, automation, and communication, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver highly personalised and effective marketing campaigns.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end execution of direct marketing campaigns across multiple digital channels.

• Partner with Growth teams (Sales, Product, CX, Customer Insights) to develop strategic, high-performing campaigns.

• Segment audiences and manage the customer database to maximise personalisation and relevance.

• Design and implement automated customer journeys and workflows.

• Develop and execute A/B and multivariate tests to optimise engagement and campaign success.

• Conduct in-depth campaign analytics using tools like Mixpanel, Segment, or Google Analytics.

• Drive continuous improvement in CRM processes, data quality, and security compliance.

• Collaborate with creative and content teams to ensure campaign materials meet brand and performance standards.

• Provide actionable data insights to improve campaign outcomes and customer engagement.

✅ Minimum Requirements

• Matric/Grade 12

• Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or related field (advantageous)

• 3–5 years of experience in CRM or direct marketing campaign management

• Hands-on experience with platforms like Braze, Iterable, HubSpot, or similar

• Technical understanding of CRM coding languages and HTML email optimisation

• Skilled in data segmentation, customer journey mapping, and workflow automation

• Proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, and Excel/Google Sheets

• Prior experience in the FinTech or B2B environment is highly advantageous
