About the Role
Are you passionate about people and recruitment? Shoprite Group is looking for a Divisional Recruitment Consultant to join our dynamic HR team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering end-to-end recruitment services for a specific business/divisional portfolio. You’ll ensure the successful attraction, selection, and placement of top talent while supporting our long-term human capital strategy.
As a member of our team, you will collaborate with People Partners and business leaders to ensure a streamlined, professional recruitment process aligned with our group talent acquisition framework. Key Responsibilities
Employee-Centric Talent Delivery

Execute end-to-end recruitment services including sourcing, pre-screening, interviewing, and onboarding.

Establish and maintain a candidate pipeline for current and future hiring needs.

Manage the recruitment process including advertising, CV selection, interview coordination, and offer management.

Conduct targeted and bulk recruitment initiatives (including graduate, intern, and youth hiring).

Build strong partnerships with internal teams and external recruitment vendors.
Collaboration and Team Culture

Engage and align with the broader People Team to deliver best-in-class talent solutions.

Foster a collaborative and supportive environment by participating in team activities and initiatives.

Promote an open culture that supports employee well-being and innovation.
Compliance and Reporting

Ensure full compliance with labour regulations, Shoprite governance standards, POPIA, and H&S policies.

Maintain accurate recruitment records and contribute to internal reporting and insights.

Support continuous improvement through suggestions on systems and recruitment technology.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Requirements:
-
Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (Essential).
-
+1 year experience in a recruitment role (internal or agency-based), ideally supporting a business unit or portfolio.
Advantageous:
-
Diploma in Human Resources, Recruitment, or similar.

Prior experience within the retail or FMCG industry.

Recruitment Expertise: Familiar with end-to-end hiring processes, from job posting to offer acceptance.
