🏝️ About the Role

A prestigious luxury lodge based in Hoedspruit, Limpopo, is seeking a Reservationist/Duty Manager to join its close-knit team. This unique dual role combines front-of-house guest management with reservations handling, offering an exciting opportunity for someone with hospitality experience, adaptability, and excellent communication skills.

This is a live-in position with excellent perks including meals, incentives, and a tranquil work environment in the heart of the Lowveld.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily lodge operations and guest experiences as Duty Manager

• Handle reservations one week in every 3-week cycle and during the reservationist’s leave

• Use and update the lodge’s Property Management System (PMS)

• Maintain professional communication with guests via email, phone, and in person

• Assist with guest check-ins, check-outs, and overall satisfaction

• Resolve guest queries and complaints promptly and professionally

• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless guest services

• Ensure smooth transition between your Duty Manager and Reservationist responsibilities

🎓 Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience as a Reservationist in a lodge or hotel environment

• Working knowledge of Property Management Systems

• Previous experience in a Duty Manager role (preferred but not essential)

• Flexible, adaptable, and able to work well under pressure

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Professional demeanor and guest-oriented mindset

💰 Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: R8,000 – R10,000 per month

• Incentives: Earn up to R3,000 additional per month based on performance

• Benefits:

  • Provident fund (after 3-month probation)
