🛠️ About the Role:

Are you an innovative Electrical Engineer looking to power the industry that powers the world? NOV Energy Equipment, Rig Equipment is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our Port Elizabeth team. You’ll play a key role in designing and developing control systems and electrical components, collaborating across disciplines and contributing to high-impact global projects.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical and electronic interface circuitry for product control.

• Create technical documentation including block diagrams, schematics, cable drawings, and BOMs.

• Lead electrical engineering aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with standards and scope.

• Collaborate with internal/external clients to define project requirements.

• Review and approve engineering documentation and design changes.

• Assist in technical support for manufacturing and testing.

• Participate in FATs, commissioning, and design reviews.

📚 Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.

• 5+ years of experience designing control systems preferred.

• Experience in instrumentation, automation, mining equipment, or automotive sectors advantageous.

• Practical experience with commissioning or FATs.

💼 Technical Skills:

• Proficient in AutoCAD; Teams Centre Siemens experience is a plus.

• CAD drawing capabilities using SolidWorks, Catia, or similar.

• Experience with hazardous area (Ex) equipment design beneficial.

• Strong IT skills and knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
