Job Overview

The Electrical Engineering Intern role is designed to provide practical, hands-on experience in electrical systems within a manufacturing environment. The intern will assist in panel assembly, component verification, and quality control processes while learning to interpret technical drawings and ensure compliance with safety and design standards. This opportunity is ideal for candidates looking to build a solid foundation in electrical engineering and industrial practices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in identifying and organizing electrical components for panel assembly
  • Verify that the Bill of Materials (BOM) matches physical components
  • Support panel assembly preparation and installation activities
  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
  • Conduct basic quality checks using point-to-point verification methods
  • Monitor compliance with electrical safety and regulatory standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for quality control processes
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, ISO standards, and SHE requirements
  • Support troubleshooting and fault-finding activities where required

Qualifications

Education

  • N6 in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Infrastructure Construction
  • Valid Trade Test in Electrical or Electrical Infrastructure

Experience

  • No prior work experience required (internship role)
  • Basic exposure to electrical systems or workshop environments is advantageous

Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical principles
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control awareness
  • Good troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
