🌟 Job Purpose
The Group Ethics Office at Nedbank is an independent function responsible for fostering an ethical culture across the organization, including subsidiaries and foreign offices. The role of Employee Conduct Investigator involves conducting independent investigations into allegations of:
✔️ Harassment (including sexual harassment)
✔️ Unfair discrimination
✔️ Physical assault
✔️ Human rights abuses
✔️ Conflict of interest
✔️ Nepotism/cronyism
✔️ Breaches of the Nedbank Employee Code of Ethics and Conduct
⚠️ This is not a forensic role – The investigations focus on behavioral and ethical issues rather than financial crime or dishonesty.
📌 Key Responsibilities
✅ Lead investigations into employee conduct concerns, ensuring a fair, unbiased, and efficient process.
✅ Conduct interviews with involved parties and compile accurate, objective reports.
✅ Analyze evidence to provide well-reasoned recommendations to Senior Management.
✅ Prepare detailed investigation reports for key stakeholders and governance committees.
✅ Identify ethical risks and develop interventions to promote a culture of integrity.
✅ Monitor the Gifts Registry for potential conflicts of interest and policy violations.
✅ Deliver ethics training & awareness sessions for employees and suppliers.
✅ Stay updated on local and international ethics and human rights trends.
✅ Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective enterprise-wide ethics management.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
📜 Minimum Requirement:
✔️ A relevant 3-year degree in Human Resources, Philosophy, Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Law, or Commerce.
🎓 Preferred:
✔️ Advanced degree or certifications in Ethics, Psychology, Industrial Psychology, or Law are advantageous.
🛠️ Experience:
✔️ Minimum 7 years of experience in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, Law, Ethics, Risk Management, Consulting, Audit, or Investigations.
