Job Overview:
We are looking for a passionate Engineer, Advanced Quality to join our Quality & Business Systems team in Pretoria. As an Advanced Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of advanced quality processes within our operations. You will be involved in identifying improvement areas and driving initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Process Development & Implementation:
- Design and implement advanced quality systems to support product development and manufacturing.
- Ensure that all production processes meet high-quality standards and exceed customer expectations.
✅ Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving:
- Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address quality issues and prevent defects.
- Develop corrective actions and continuous improvement strategies for existing processes.
✅ Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with production teams, engineering, and suppliers to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
- Support product launches by ensuring that quality procedures are in place and that all testing is completed on time.
✅ Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and present detailed reports on quality metrics, non-conformance, and product testing results.
- Ensure proper documentation of quality standards, compliance, and best practices.
✅ Customer Quality Support:
- Act as a point of contact for customer quality concerns, ensuring that all issues are resolved promptly.
- Collaborate with customers and suppliers to enhance quality performance and drive customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements:
✔ Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.).
✔ Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in quality engineering or related roles, particularly in the automotive or manufacturing sectors.
✔ Skills & Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of quality systems, lean manufacturing, and root cause analysis.
- Experience with problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Whys.
- Strong proficiency in quality tools (FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, etc.).
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
