Join AECOM as a Geotechnical Engineer in the Enterprise Capabilities unit based in Cape Town, supporting both local and global teams. This position plays a pivotal role in the delivery of high-impact infrastructure projects. Youβll collaborate with a dynamic, interdisciplinary engineering team while embracing AECOMβs flexible hybrid work culture.
π Key Responsibilities

Contribute to project execution, client engagement, and business development.

Collaborate with Associates and Seniors to ensure high-quality project delivery.

Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
-
Prepare and review geotechnical reports, drawings, and technical documents.

Participate actively in team and client meetings, offering innovative input.

Perform geotechnical analyses including:

Settlement analysis
-
Retaining wall design
-
Foundation (shallow and deep) design
-
Earthworks and slope stability analysis
-

Utilize geotechnical software such as GEO5, WALLAP, ALP, Plaxis, and SlopeW/Slide.

Stay abreast of modern design codes and adopt best practices, especially Eurocodes.
π Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Masterβs degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.

4β7 years of relevant geotechnical design experience.
-
Nearing Professional Registration (ECSA or equivalent) preferred.
