Job Overview

The Engineering & Product Graduate Programme is designed to develop future technology and product leaders by providing exposure across multiple Takealot Group businesses. Graduates will work closely with engineering, product, and quality assurance teams while gaining practical experience in large-scale systems, product development lifecycles, and data-informed decision-making.

This programme combines structured learning, mentorship, and hands-on project work, enabling graduates to build both technical expertise and professional skills in a high-volume, commercial environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, testing, and implementation of engineering and product solutions

  • Participate in requirements gathering, analysis, and technical documentation

  • Conduct research and analysis to support engineering and product decisions

  • Support troubleshooting, debugging, and resolution of technical issues

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, QA, and operations

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, tools, and product features

  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations as required

  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality guidelines, and best practices

  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends


Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field

Technical Skills

  • Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms

  • Knowledge of software development methodologies

  • Experience or exposure to version control systems

  • Strong computer literacy and technical aptitude
