Mediclinic Victoria, located in Tongaat, South Africa, is offering an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Enrolled Nurse to join our dynamic Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. About the Role:
As an Enrolled Nurse in the ICU, you will play a crucial role in delivering safe, effective nursing care to critically ill patients. Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of care and ensuring a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Delivering safe, high-quality nursing care in collaboration with doctors, specialists, and fellow nursing staff.

Identifying, preventing, and reporting risks to maintain patient safety at all times.

Creating a calm, therapeutic environment that supports healing and reduces patient stress.

Keeping accurate, detailed records of all nursing interventions and observations.

Participating in continuous learning and development initiatives to enhance staff competence.

Ensuring that all utilised stock and medical equipment are properly charged and accounted for.
Qualifications & Education Requirements:

Essential:

Enrolled Nurse Certificate.

Desired:
-
Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses relevant to ICU or other specialised units.

Experience:

Essential: No prior experience required—ideal for newly qualified Enrolled Nurses eager to enter critical care.

Desired: 1 year of post-qualification nursing experience, preferably in a critical care or high-dependency environment.
Skills & Knowledge:

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
-
Infection prevention and control protocols.

Foundational knowledge of pharmacology and nursing processes.

Strong patient assessment skills and the ability to follow scientific nursing principles.

Competence in nursing care planning and risk identification.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hospital systems.

Familiarity with relevant nursing legislation and Scope of Practice guidelines.
