About the Role:
As an Enrolled Nurse in the ICU, you will play a crucial role in delivering safe, effective nursing care to critically ill patients. Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of care and ensuring a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering safe, high-quality nursing care in collaboration with doctors, specialists, and fellow nursing staff.

• Identifying, preventing, and reporting risks to maintain patient safety at all times.

• Creating a calm, therapeutic environment that supports healing and reduces patient stress.

• Keeping accurate, detailed records of all nursing interventions and observations.

• Participating in continuous learning and development initiatives to enhance staff competence.

• Ensuring that all utilised stock and medical equipment are properly charged and accounted for.

Qualifications & Education Requirements:

• Essential:

  • Enrolled Nurse Certificate.

• Desired:

  • Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses relevant to ICU or other specialised units.

Experience:

• Essential: No prior experience required—ideal for newly qualified Enrolled Nurses eager to enter critical care.

• Desired: 1 year of post-qualification nursing experience, preferably in a critical care or high-dependency environment.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Infection prevention and control protocols.

• Foundational knowledge of pharmacology and nursing processes.

• Strong patient assessment skills and the ability to follow scientific nursing principles.

• Competence in nursing care planning and risk identification.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hospital systems.

• Familiarity with relevant nursing legislation and Scope of Practice guidelines.
