🎯 Role Purpose

The Enrolled Nurse – Medical will deliver safe, quality nursing care in line with the Scope of Practice. Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team, you will support patient care, mitigate risks, and contribute to a positive and safe healthcare environment.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care in collaboration with the hospital clinical team.

• Identify, prevent, and report risks to ensure patient safety.

• Facilitate a positive patient experience through a conducive care environment.

• Maintain accurate and complete records of all nursing interventions.

• Participate in creating a learning environment that enhances staff competence.

• Ensure all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charted and recorded.

🎓 Required Education & Registration

Essential:

• Enrolled Nurse Certificate

• Registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC)

Desirable:

• CPD courses for specialised wards

• 1 year post-qualification experience before placement in a specialised unit

🧰 Skills & Competencies

• Basic Life Support trained (BLS)

• Infection prevention and control knowledge

• Pharmacology and patient assessment skills

• Nursing care planning and nursing processes proficiency

• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)

• Strong organisational skills and adaptability

• Commitment to delivering excellent patient service

• Ability to work effectively within a team environment

💼 Experience

• Essential: No prior experience required

• Desirable: 1 year post-qualification experience in specialised wards
