🧩 JOB OVERVIEW

The Graduate in Training: ESG role offers a valuable opportunity for a recent graduate to build a career in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and sustainability. The successful candidate will work closely with the ESG team, supporting ESG reporting, data analysis, compliance monitoring, carbon accounting, and the implementation of the Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS).

This role is ideal for graduates passionate about climate change, sustainability, renewable energy, and responsible business practices.

📝 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS)

• Assist with the preparation of ESG and sustainability reports aligned with GRI, TCFD and SASB frameworks

• Collect, analyse, and report ESG data across environmental, social and governance metrics

• Support Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions calculation and reporting

• Conduct research on sustainability trends, ESG regulations and best practices

• Assist with ESG compliance monitoring and policy implementation

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG principles into business operations

• Support ESG documentation, internal reporting, and administrative tasks

🎓 QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Bachelor’s degree (BSc or equivalent) in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability, Climate Change, Chemical Engineering, Economics or related fields

Experience

• No formal work experience required

• Coursework, internships or projects related to ESG, sustainability or climate change will be advantageous

Skills

• Basic understanding of ESG principles and sustainability practices

• Familiarity with GRI, TCFD, SASB and IFC Performance Standards

• Knowledge of GHG Protocol and carbon reporting methodologies

• Strong analytical and research skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills

• Good written and verbal communication skills
