π§βπΌ Role Overview
The Estimation Co-ordinator will support the Properties Department by compiling accurate project costings, analysing cost trends, and coordinating procurement activities for new store openings and store-related projects. This role is critical in ensuring cost efficiency, supplier performance, and accurate financial reporting across multiple operational initiatives.
π Key Responsibilities
π Estimation & Costing

Compile projected project costings using proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documentation

Analyse project information to determine material, time, and cost requirements

Evaluate product cost-effectiveness and overall project profitability

Set up, maintain, and manage a costing database
-
Conduct post-project analysis comparing estimated vs actual costs and prepare expenditure statements
π Supplier & Procurement Coordination

Manage relationships with equipment and service suppliers
-
Obtain quotations aligned with authorised project costings
-
Place orders for goods and services
-
Negotiate delivery dates and manage supplier timelines
-
Follow up on discrepancies including non-deliveries, incorrect quantities, or pricing variances
π Analysis & Reporting

Compile, analyse, and interpret purchasing trends

Prepare competitor and benchmarking reports

Evaluate supplier, product, and service delivery performance
-
Produce estimation vs actual reports for management review
π Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills
β Required Qualifications
-
Grade 12 (Matric Certificate)
-
Certificate or Diploma in Cost & Estimation or equivalent
-
Completed Project Management course
π§ Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of building drawings and plans
-
Familiarity with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contract terms
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

High numerical accuracy and strong attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities

Strong project management, reporting, and organisational skills

Deadline-driven with a strong sense of accountability and urgency
