🎯 Job Purpose:
Unilever is looking for a Supply Chain Finance Accountant to strengthen our financial controls, optimize cost performance, and ensure effective financial governance at our Lords View Factory. You’ll play a key role in supporting the factory leadership team by delivering insightful analytics, controlling operational spend, driving financial forecasting, and ensuring compliance with Unilever’s Global Financial Control Framework (GFCF).
📌 Key Responsibilities:
🔐 Financial Governance & Control
-
Implement strong factory and 3P financial controls per GFCF.
-
Conduct stock counts and manage stock balances across multiple locations.
-
Ensure balance sheet hygiene and proper classification of income and expenses.

Prepare and support internal, external, and SOX audits.
💰 Cost Management & Forecasting
-
Own cost center forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

Drive productivity and cost-saving initiatives across factory and third-party sites.
-
Analyse SKU sourcing costs and advise on optimal sourcing options (factory vs 3P vs import).
📊 Reporting & Decision Support

Deliver timely and accurate financial reports.
-
Provide insight on performance gaps and propose corrective actions.

Guide capital expenditure proposals and evaluate ROI on key projects.

Support waste reduction programmes and evaluate cost drivers.
🚀 Strategic Partnership & Leadership

Be an active member of the site leadership team.

Drive the annual budget and forecasting process aligned with S&OP principles.

Collaborate with supply chain and finance teams across the business.
🎓 Required Qualifications & Experience:
-
Minimum: Finance Degree + Progress towards CIMA or CA(SA) (advantageous)

Minimum 3+ years in Supply Chain or Factory Finance

Strong understanding of cost accounting and financial controls

Knowledge of SAP (PM/FI/PA) and advanced Microsoft Excel
