✨ Key Responsibilities

πŸ“Š Fixed Assets Management

  • Maintain and manage full Fixed Assets Registers, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance.

  • Process all fixed asset transactions including acquisitions, disposals, capitalisations, transfers, and write-offs.

  • Conduct depreciation calculations, asset verification, and reconciliation to general ledger.

  • Support annual asset budgeting and forecasting cycles.

  • Ensure compliance with tax legislation related to assets.

  • Process all CAPEX transactions in line with internal policies.

  • Track project spend, monitor savings, and prepare CAPEX reports for management review.

  • Support business units in ensuring correct classification and capitalisation of projects.

  • Monitor insurance claims and ensure accurate reporting.

  • Co-ordinate monthly insurance payments, confirmations, and related documentation.

  • Manage the processing of month-end insurance journals.

  • Prepare and post journals relating to fixed assets, insurance, and other month-end schedules.

  • Perform key reconciliations including asset accounts, insurance accounts, and project-related ledgers.

  • Assist with monthly management and corporate reporting for local and Africa regions.

🌍 Support for African Markets

  • Provide reporting assistance, systems support, and process guidance to Lactalis Africa entities.

  • Ensure alignment with group reporting standards and financial controls.

🧾 Audit Preparation

  • Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets, insurance, and relevant balance sheet accounts.

  • Engage with auditors, address queries, and ensure timely completion of year-end audits.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve financial controls.

  • Contribute to documenting and updating standard operating procedures.

  • B.Comm / B.Com Honours or equivalent.

🧠 Experience & Skills

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a similar finance or accounting role.

  • Strong technical knowledge of fixed assets (accounting and tax).

  • ERP system expertise (SAP, Oracle, or similar).

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

  • Strong analytical, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage KPIs and drive process efficiency.

  • Strong project management and people management competencies.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
