Job Overview

Robert Walters is seeking an ambitious FP&A Analyst to join a high-performing Group Finance environment in Johannesburg. Reporting to a Senior FP&A Specialist, the role offers exceptional exposure across the full FP&A value chain, including management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, business intelligence, and financial analytics. The position is ideal for an analytically minded professional eager to support executive decision-making within a multinational finance setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare high-impact management, CFO, and Board-level presentations

  • Consolidate financial inputs from multiple business units into clear, insight-driven narratives

  • Analyse group financial performance, variances, and key business drivers

  • Extract, reconcile, and validate financial data from ERP and BI systems

  • Support the development and maintenance of BI dashboards and analytical models

  • Collaborate with Revenue Assurance teams to identify and report significant inter-month movements

  • Engage with controllers, FP&A specialists, and senior stakeholders to resolve financial queries

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes

  • Identify automation and efficiency opportunities using Excel, Power Query, AI tools, or coding solutions

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function


Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline

Experience:

  • Entry-level exposure to FP&A, finance, or data analytics roles is advantageous

  • Internship or graduate experience in a corporate finance environment will be beneficial

Skills:

  • Advanced Excel capability (formulas, lookups, pivots)

  • Strong PowerPoint and financial presentation skills

  • Analytical mindset with high attention to detail

  • Understanding of financial statements and performance drivers

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Exposure to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), Python, SQL, or AI tools is advantageous
