Job Overview

The Finance Intern will provide administrative and operational support to the Finance Department. This internship offers hands-on exposure to core financial processes, including reconciliations, creditor and debtor administration, and general financial administration within a regulated public sector environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with debtor administration and general ledger reconciliations

• Support bank reconciliation processes

• Assist with supplier administration and payment processing

• Perform general filing and document management

• Support day-to-day financial administrative activities

• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

Qualifications

Education

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent

• Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in:

  • Accounting

  • Financial Management

Experience

• No prior work experience required

Skills and Competencies

• Strong planning and organisational skills

• Basic understanding of payment processing

• Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Presentation and administrative skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy
