The Financial Accounting and Administration Internship is part of CoGHSTAโ€™s 24-month graduate programme aimed at developing finance professionals within the public sector.

Interns will gain hands-on experience in financial administration, reporting, and compliance processes while supporting the departmentโ€™s financial operations. This opportunity is ideal for graduates seeking to build a career in accounting, finance, or public sector administration.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with financial administration and accounting processes
  • Support budgeting, reporting, and expenditure tracking
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Assist in processing invoices and financial transactions
  • Support compliance with financial policies and regulations
  • Contribute to audits and financial reporting activities
  • Perform general administrative duties within the finance unit

Qualifications

Education

  • A minimum 3-year qualification in:
    • Accounting
    • Finance

Experience

  • Must be an unemployed graduate residing in Limpopo Province
  • Must not have previously participated in a government internship programme

Skills

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Computer literacy (especially MS Excel)
  • Good organisational and administrative skills
