JOB OVERVIEW

  • The Finance Internship is designed to equip graduates with practical workplace experience within the INSETA Finance Department.

  • Interns will be exposed to core finance functions in a public-sector regulatory environment aligned with PFMA requirements.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative support across finance functions including creditors, debtors, cashbook, projects, and job costing.

  • Assist with finance records management and general finance administration.

  • Support capital and operational budget administration.

  • Assist with liability administration and financial management reforms aligned to the PFMA.

  • Receive invoices and prepare payments for project-related activities.

  • Prepare financial reconciliations.

  • Capture, update, and maintain financial data accurately.

  • Maintain and update invoice trackers regularly.

  • Support general administrative activities within the finance division.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Grade 12 (Matric).

  • NQF Level 6 Diploma or NQF Level 7 Degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification.

Experience

  • No prior work experience required.

Skills

  • Basic understanding of finance and accounting principles.

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work with financial data and records.

  • Good communication skills.
