The Greater Letaba Municipality is calling on unemployed South African graduates to apply for the Finance Internship Programme 2025 in its Budget and Treasury Office. This is a unique opportunity to gain structured training and real-world experience while working toward a Municipal Finance Management Programme (MFMP) Certificate.

🎯 Internship Overview

  • ✅ Position Title: Finance Interns

  • 🏛️ Department: Budget & Treasury Office

  • 📆 Contract Length: 24 months

  • 🎓 Certification Earned: Municipal Finance Management Programme (MFMP) Certificate

📘 Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

✅ A Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in one of the following fields:

  • Accounting

  • Auditing

  • Finance-related studies

✅ Must be a South African citizen
✅ Must be currently unemployed
✅ Must not have previously participated in a similar internship

🛠️ Intern Responsibilities

Selected interns will:

  • 🖋️ Sign an internship agreement as part of the contract

  • 📚 Participate in the Municipal Finance Management Internship Programme (MFMIP)

  • 💼 Gain exposure to:

    • ✅ The Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA)

    • ✅ GRAP Standards

    • ✅ Budgeting and Financial Reporting

    • ✅ Internal and External Auditing Practices

  • 🚀 Receive hands-on, high-quality training designed to enhance employability and professional development
