π― Purpose of the Role
The Financial Accounting Graduate will support Biovacβs Financial Accounting team with a wide range of accounting functions. This role is structured to build strong technical foundations, develop real-world accounting experience, and prepare graduates for long-term careers in finance.
You will work alongside qualified professionals, gain exposure to statutory reporting, audits, VAT and tax, SAP projects, and interdepartmental rotations that broaden business understanding.
π Key Duties & Responsibilities
π§Ύ Financial Accounting Support

Assist with month-end close, including preparing journals, updating loan schedules, and performing balance sheet reconciliations.

Support the preparation of Annual Financial Statements and related working papers.

Perform VAT and tax compliance tasks, including gathering data for SARS submissions.

Maintain and update the fixed asset register and participate in verification exercises.

Assist in internal control testing, documentation updates, and process audits.

Prepare audit deliverables, compile schedules, and respond to auditor queries.

Contribute to system and process improvement initiatives within the Finance division.
π Project Management & Support

Support finance projects such as SAP testing, updating work instructions, and system enhancements.
π Rotational Development

Spend time in other departments to understand cross-functional processes and business operations.

Participate in a collaborative graduate project alongside graduates from other disciplines.
π Minimum Qualifications

Matric / Grade 12
-
National Diploma or Degree in Financial Accounting
