As a Financial Analyst (IT Projects), you will have the opportunity to play a key role in understanding our systems, products, and ongoing projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess financial performance, conduct variance analysis, and prepare key reports for senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
🔍 Financial Analysis
- Analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis comparing actual results to forecasts and budgets.
- Develop financial models to support business decisions.
- Evaluate financial performance, identifying trends and anomalies.
- Assess the return on investment of various initiatives.
- Investigate variances across various systems and products.
📊 Commercial Analysis
- Assess market conditions and industry trends.
- Analyse competitor performance and market positioning.
- Prepare financial viability reports for strategic initiatives.
- Assess proposed costs and spending on projects, ensuring alignment with accounting standards.
📈 Reporting & Dashboards
- Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management.
- Present insights and recommendations in a clear, concise manner.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and performance metrics for business stakeholders.
🤝 Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with other departments to gather relevant data and insights.
- Provide financial analysis and commercial insights to cross-functional teams.
Requirements
🎓 Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as CA, CFA are advantageous.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis or commercial analysis.
💻 Technical Skills
- Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with financial software and business intelligence tools like Power BI.
- Knowledge of SQL for data querying and extraction.
