A world-class luxury safari and hospitality group with lodges across Southern Africa is seeking a Financial Analyst to strengthen their finance and reporting capability. This hybrid role, based at their Cape Town CBD office, focuses on delivering clear financial intelligence, supporting business decisions, and ensuring accurate reporting across revenue, cost structures, operational yields, and profitability.

You will play a pivotal role in financial planning, modelling, forecasting, and performance analysisโ€”driving insights that support strategic initiatives and operational optimisation across the organisation.


๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Key Responsibilities

  • ๐Ÿ“Š Prepare and analyse financial and operational reports: Revenue, GP, OPEX, and net margins

  • ๐Ÿ“ˆ Conduct Budget vs Actual vs Forecast analysis and identify key variances

  • ๐Ÿ“† Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles

  • ๐Ÿงฎ Build and maintain financial models for revenue, cost, profit, and cash flow

  • ๐Ÿค Partner with department leads to validate assumptions and input accuracy

  • ๐Ÿ“Œ Monitor KPIs including GP%, revenue by segment, cost trends, and yield performance

  • ๐Ÿงญ Provide margin insights and highlight improvement opportunities

  • ๐Ÿ’ฐ Assist with cost-control initiatives using trend and variance analysis

  • โœ”๏ธ Perform data integrity checks, reconciliations, and input validation

  • ๐Ÿ“Š Maintain dashboards and visual reports to support decision-making

  • ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Present financial insights clearly to management and key stakeholders

  • ๐Ÿค Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed financial discipline and improve performance


๐ŸŽ“ Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Financial Management or Accounting (minimum)

  • CGMA, SAICA, or SAIPA affiliation advantageous

  • At least 2 years of FP&A experience and hands-on financial modelling

  • Exposure to Power BI or similar BI tools is non-negotiable

  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and data accuracy

  • Ability to communicate insights in a clear and actionable manner
