About the Role
MSCI is seeking a Financial Data Analyst (Fund Transactions) to join our Private Capital team in Stellenbosch. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing private equity fund data, helping institutional investors understand their portfolios, and evaluating investment performance and risk. Key Responsibilities:
✔ Data Collection & Analysis: Examine private capital fund reports to extract relevant financial data and company-level metrics.
✔ Financial Reporting: Capture, enhance, and maintain large datasets of fund valuations, capital flows, and performance metrics.
✔ Audit & Quality Control: Perform audits to ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial data.
✔ Comply with Standards: Follow established policies, processes, and industry classification standards.
Skills and Experience:
✔ Education: Completed Bachelor of Commerce (Majors in Investment Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or Information Systems).
✔ Experience: 1-3 years of relevant work experience preferred.
✔ Knowledge: Familiarity with financial markets, accounting practices, and private capital.
✔ Tools: Experience with database applications is an advantage.
