🔍 Introduction

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Financial Manager: Reporting to join our Finance team in Roodepoort. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take their career to the next level in a fast-paced, supportive environment. The role focuses on strategic financial planning, reporting, budgeting, compliance, and management of relationships with auditors.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Manage the monthly reporting process and ensure compliance with IFRS.

• Review and reconcile the general ledger monthly.

• Assist in preparing monthly profit numbers and reports for EXCO and Board meetings.

• Support quarterly and annual reporting requirements, including financial statements for shareholders.

• Maintain and update the Group’s IFRS reporting templates.

• Assist with the implementation of new IFRS standards and accounting policies.

• Prepare sections of financial reports, including subsidiary companies’ annual statements.

• Support the external audit process and resolve audit queries.

• Perform ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Leadership & Team Management

• Set clear performance objectives and manage team performance.

• Conduct succession planning for critical positions.

• Ensure team members are competent and provide training and development.

• Foster positive staff morale and teamwork.

Strategic & Operational Contributions

• Assist with capex applications and business cases according to group policies.

• Participate in group impairment calculations and going concern reviews.

• Provide guidance and financial expertise to senior management as required.

🛠 Requirements

Education & Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (essential).

• Professional registration is preferred.

• Advanced computer literacy (Excel, ERP systems, and reporting tools).

Experience & Skills

• Proven experience in financial management and reporting.

• Strong understanding of IFRS and Companies Act reporting requirements.

• Experience working with senior management and auditors.

• People management experience.

• Fluent in business English.
