Job Overview

The FinOps Internship at 1Nebula is a six-month, hands-on opportunity designed for graduates who want to build a career in cloud financial management. This internship allows candidates to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios while developing in-demand FinOps and cloud optimisation skills.

Interns will gain exposure to global clients, cloud cost management tools, and cross-functional collaboration between engineering, finance, and technology teams. The programme is structured to prepare high-performing interns for potential full-time employment as Junior FinOps Analysts.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and develop a strong understanding of cloud computing and FinOps principles
• Investigate customer cloud environments to identify financial optimisation opportunities
• Analyse cloud usage data and cost trends to support decision-making
• Participate in real client engagements and optimisation initiatives
• Document processes, methodologies, and best practices
• Share insights and findings with the broader Nebula team
• Prepare and deliver presentations on analysis outcomes
• Collaborate closely with mentors, fellow interns, and cross-functional teams

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Finance, IT, Engineering, Analytics, or Business

Experience

• Entry-level candidates and recent graduates encouraged to apply
• Prior exposure to cloud platforms, analytics, or finance is advantageous

Skills

• Strong interest in FinOps, cloud cost management, and analytics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Decision-making and critical-thinking skills
• Power BI experience is advantageous

Certifications (Completed During Internship)

• Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
