About the Role

Are you passionate about operational excellence, compliance, and safety? Join The South African Breweries (SAB) as a Fleet & Safety Supervisor, where you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our transport operations meet the highest legal and corporate standards.

We’re looking for a motivated, safety-first professional to drive compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Road Transport Act, and SAB/ABInBev’s global safety policies. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver continuous shop-floor coaching aligned with the OHS Act.

  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act of 1993 and Road Traffic Act.

  • Provide professional fleet and safety support across on-site and remote locations.

  • Be on-call for safety emergencies and proactively collaborate with stakeholders.

  • Conduct rigorous daily inspections of fleet assets (Trucks, Trailers, FLTs, MFLTs).

  • Maintain accurate records for licensing, maintenance, and inspections.

  • Execute internal audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

  • Drive performance through DPO Fleet & Safety Pillars, Self-Assessments, and Zone Audits.

  • Participate in weekly fleet meetings and deliver insights on performance.

  • Manage asset verification in alignment with the BRN process.


What You’ll Bring

  • Strong analytical skills with a track record of performance improvement.

  • Knowledge of health, safety, and transport compliance regulations.

  • People management experience (advantageous).

  • The ability to operate under pressure in a complex logistics environment.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.


Minimum Requirements

  • A 3-year tertiary qualification (degree or diploma).

  • 2–3 years’ experience in a fleet management or safety-related role.

  • In-depth understanding of South African OHS and Road Traffic regulations.

  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and SAP proficiency.

  • Business and financial acumen.
