About the Role

We are looking for Freelance Form F Assessors to join the National Fostering Group – the UK’s largest independent fostering family. We have seen a substantial increase in demand and are now looking to recruit more experienced assessors to help us conduct Form F assessments for prospective foster carers.

This role is home-based, offering the flexibility to work remotely in the Cumbria area and beyond. Form F Assessors play a critical role in the recruitment process, ensuring that foster carers meet the necessary criteria and are equipped to provide high-quality care for vulnerable children and young people.

Key Responsibilities

As a Freelance Form F Assessor, you will:
✔️ Conduct Form F Assessments for prospective foster carers.
✔️ Work independently to a high standard while adhering to set time scales.
✔️ Provide support to potential foster carers throughout their application process.
✔️ Ensure assessments are thorough, documenting all required information.
✔️ Liaise with local authorities and relevant regulatory bodies as required.
✔️ Promote the welfare of children and young people through safe and effective placements.


Essential Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:
✔️ Qualified Social Worker (DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
✔️ Current registration with the relevant Social Work regulatory council (e.g., Social Work England, NISCC, SSSC).
✔️ Proven experience in carrying out Form F Assessments.
✔️ Ability to work independently and deliver assessments to a high standard.
✔️ Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
