About the Role
The National Fostering Group, the UK’s largest independent fostering provider, is looking for experienced and qualified Social Workers to join our team as Freelance Form F Assessors. This flexible, home-based role is ideal for self-motivated professionals who are passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable children and teenagers.
As part of our National Assessment Service, you’ll conduct high-quality Form F assessments, supporting potential foster carers throughout their journey from application to approval. With full access to training, supervision, and support, this role allows you to make a real difference—on your own schedule.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth Form F Assessments for prospective foster carers.

Provide support and guidance to applicants throughout the assessment process.

Work independently and meet deadlines to ensure efficient service delivery.

Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to the quality of placements offered to children.

Adhere to safeguarding practices and uphold the values of child welfare and protection.

Collaborate with our team of professionals to ensure consistency and excellence in assessments.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must meet the following essential criteria:

Qualified Social Worker (DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).

Registered with the appropriate Social Work regulatory body (Social Work England/Wales, NISCC, or SSSC).

Demonstrated experience conducting Form F Assessments.

Ability to work autonomously, with excellent organizational and time management skills.

Passion for supporting foster carers and enhancing the lives of children.

Commitment to safeguarding and upholding ethical standards.
