About the Role

The National Fostering Group, the UK’s largest independent fostering provider, is looking for experienced and qualified Social Workers to join our team as Freelance Form F Assessors. This flexible, home-based role is ideal for self-motivated professionals who are passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable children and teenagers.

As part of our National Assessment Service, you’ll conduct high-quality Form F assessments, supporting potential foster carers throughout their journey from application to approval. With full access to training, supervision, and support, this role allows you to make a real difference—on your own schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth Form F Assessments for prospective foster carers.

• Provide support and guidance to applicants throughout the assessment process.

• Work independently and meet deadlines to ensure efficient service delivery.

• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to the quality of placements offered to children.

• Adhere to safeguarding practices and uphold the values of child welfare and protection.

• Collaborate with our team of professionals to ensure consistency and excellence in assessments.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must meet the following essential criteria:

• Qualified Social Worker (DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).

• Registered with the appropriate Social Work regulatory body (Social Work England/Wales, NISCC, or SSSC).

• Demonstrated experience conducting Form F Assessments.

• Ability to work autonomously, with excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Passion for supporting foster carers and enhancing the lives of children.

• Commitment to safeguarding and upholding ethical standards.
