🌟 Purpose of the Role

The Frontline Consultant is the first point of contact for visitors and callers, delivering a professional, welcoming, and efficient front-of-house experience at Value Logistics. This role ensures smooth communication, accurate message handling, and exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.


📋 Key Responsibilities

📞 Operational

  • Answer incoming calls efficiently and professionally.

  • Engage with callers to understand their needs and direct them correctly.

  • Take accurate messages if the contact person is unavailable.

  • Welcome visitors, manage sign-in procedures, and direct them appropriately.

  • Keep updated with company structure, contacts, and front desk procedures.

  • Maintain up-to-date visitor spreadsheets and cleaner registers.

  • Ensure branch and global contact lists are accurate and updated.

  • Read and respond to internal communications promptly.

  • Maintain professional appearance and workspace.

👥 Customer Interaction

  • Exceed customer expectations and satisfaction standards.

  • Handle difficult callers with patience and professionalism.

  • Build strong relationships with internal departments.

  • Provide accurate information about company products, policies, and processes.

🗂 Administrative Duties

  • Maintain accurate filing systems for future reference.

  • Keep health & safety and housekeeping standards at optimal levels.

  • Ensure no negligence or avoidance in handling calls or visitor queries.


🎓 Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)

  • 1–2 years of experience in a customer service frontline environment

  • Fluent in English, Afrikaans, and an additional vernacular language (advantage)

  • Clean credit and criminal record

  • Proven track record in delivering high levels of customer satisfaction

  • Excellent verbal communication and telephone etiquette

  • Strong listening skills and attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer navigation

  • Organisational and administrative efficiency

  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
