🧩 Position Overview

KPMG South Africa is looking for a Functional HR Manager to serve as a strategic HR partner within its Audit business unit. This role plays a key interface between the business and HR Centres of Excellence, enabling the execution of people strategies aligned with business goals.

As a core HR generalist with exposure to talent strategy, employee relations, and transformation initiatives, you’ll drive day-to-day HR delivery while supporting leadership on workforce planning, development, and engagement.


🎯 Key Responsibilities

πŸ‘₯ Strategic HR Support

  • Translate HR strategy into actionable business plans

  • Guide line managers on talent forecasting and retention

  • Support succession planning and performance development

πŸ“˜ HR Program Delivery

  • Coordinate talent acquisition, learning, recognition, mobility, and rewards

  • Facilitate BU-specific HR solutions and compliance

  • Act as a learning business partner between L&D and business units

πŸ“Š Business Integration & Compliance

  • Enable business leaders to meet strategic goals through HR interventions

  • Ensure adherence to policies, transformation goals, and labor legislation

  • Analyse HR data to proactively respond to people needs

🧾 Operational Excellence

  • Champion employee well-being and engagement

  • Lead PPC projects and deliver against defined KPIs

  • Ensure effective financial and HR reporting in the function


βœ… Minimum Requirements

πŸŽ“ Education

  • Relevant Degree or Diploma in HR Management, Industrial Psychology, or related field

  • Registration with SABPP, HPCSA, IPD, or similar (advantageous)

🧠 Experience

  • 5+ years HR generalist experience

  • 2+ years in HR management

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, frameworks (B-BBEE, Skills Development), and strategy enablement

πŸ–₯️ Technical Skills

  • Proficient in MS Office

  • Strong verbal and written communication

  • Data analysis and reporting capabilities
